Ecclesiastes 9:10-12 (KJV) reads, "Whatsoever thy hand findth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time; as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them."
This piece of scripture reminds Phantom (Matthew Benedict) how crazy the world is. Reading this also reminds us that no one knows when they're will run out. "The same time a baby is being born an old man is taking his last breath," as the saying goes. Every day we wake up we are to give God thanks for everything from breath in our lungs to functional minds and bodies. Living in this world is full of hardships. Answers on how to deal with these hardships are in God's word. God's word is the cure that heal a broken heart and a plagued mind.
Nets and snares rule the day in this world we live in. In Finance, Politics, Foreign Affairs, etc. no matter what the field may be nets and snares will always be set in place, waiting for a new victim. Scammers and frauds masquerade under the guise of justice and equality just so they can make a quick dollar off the ignorance of the hardworking masses. No one is safe from being a victim or a perpetrator not even our beloved politicians or celebrities. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the only source who we are to look to for help and our daily needs. The Bible makes it clear that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John14:6).
Back in the United States the federal government is doing an ongoing investigation on the inside workings of Mr. Biggs organization (former). Remember, Biggs is now sitting in a federal prison (USP Marion) under a RICO charge and still awaiting other charges. The word on street and within the law enforcement community is that an informant was stationed within Biggs' criminal organization. Who was this individual has been kept sealed by the authorities. Authorities have also been sorting and searching for a person of interest who was heavily involved within Biggs' organization. All they know is that this person is an African American man believed to be in his late twenties. weighs at least 230lbs. Stands at 6ft,0in. He is believed to have served as a member of the U.S. Navy Seals for four years. Anyone who is to spot this person of interest is to contact authorities. He has been deemed armed and dangerous. It seems as though Phantom (Matthew Benedict) has dodged nets and snares by leaving the U.S. and restarting his life in Jerusalem.
Inside of his condo Phantom (Matthew Benedict) stares into his reflection while in the bathroom. A smooth baldie and a mini goatee is the look that he has become familiar with. His Sphere Inc. uniform sits on his bed as he gets ready to take a shower. He is at peace with what he did in his past and is ready to embrace a new life as a new creature in Christ. Through silence and isolation he seeks his refuge. Mr. Benedict is determined to keep it this way.
Sincere and sober Mr. Benedict's motives may be. However, the life that he (and others) once lived has a way of sneaking back on you. One must stay prayed up and turn away from there flesh on a daily. Mr. Benedict being the former Navy Seal wires himself with God's word the same way he would condition himself in warfare. Some days are better than others, but he finds methods to fight through the urges and trauma. Time will only tell when Mr. Benedict will be completely free from his past.
